Fuerteventura Airport (FUE)
Ground Transport and Car Parking
(Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, Spain)
There is a local bus network that connects Fuerteventura Airport with nearby cities, towns and resorts, with current timetables provided by the airport information desks or tourist information booths. Many charters and tour operators also offer commercial shuttles to the more popular resort areas.
There are always numerous taxis on standby at the taxi rank outside Arrivals and those not wanting to wait in a queue can pre-book a cab prior to their trip. A popular alternative to ground transportation is to rent a car, with the island very easily navigated and boasting some excellent sealed roads.
General Parking Facilities
Short-term, long-term and disabled parking is available at Fuerteventura Airport. P1 car parking lot is located opposite the terminal building and has 1,200 spaces suitable for short-term parking. Farther away from the terminal and behind P1, is the long-term parking lot, P2, which has an additional 500 spaces. A parking ticket is issued on entry to the lots, while parking is paid in cash upon exit.
Both parking lots at Fuerteventura Airport have specially designated parking spaces reserved for properly identified vehicles with disabled drivers or passengers, although P1 is the most easily accessible from the terminal building. Disabled passengers can also be dropped off or picked up from directly outside the terminal.
